Coronavirus Threatens Baby Yoda’s Impending Arrival in the U.S.
Reports from CNN suggest that the disease’s fast spread in China could impact Hasbro’s toy production.
CNN spoke to toy-industry expert Jim Silver, who believes the initial batch will be on time, which would be later this month.
However, his optimism did not extend beyond that, stating that if things do not improve by summer, there would most definitely be shortages not only on Baby Yoda specifically, but toys and goods in general.
Hasbro, the company that produces the Baby Yoda toys, has already come out and admitted that it was experiencing coronavirus-related production issues in China. They also revealed that the pandemic “could have a significant negative impact on our revenues, profitability, and business.”
