Wait, Does Sony’s Just Released ‘Morbius’ Teaser Trailer Imply A Connection To The MCU?
The new trailer for Sony’s Morbius dropped a couple of striking images implying a connection to the MCU.
In the first shot, we see Jared Leto’s character in an alley walking past a poster of Spider-Man with the words “Murderer” graffitied over it. This may be in connection to Spider-Man: Far From Home, where Quentin Beck/Mysterio released a hoax video claiming Spidey was behind his murder.
And, at the end of the trailer, we shockingly see Michael Keaton in some type of uniform. This could be Adrian Toomes, better known in the Spiderverse as the Vulture. The last time we saw this character was in Spider-Man: Homecoming and the end of the movie saw him in jail, interacting with another Spidey villain, Scorpion.
We don’t officially know if Keaton is reprising his role, but it would be pretty strange for Sony to include him knowing full well that he is alive and well in the MCU.
What do you guys think about this? Do you think Morbius is set in the MCU universe? Let us know in the comments.
